Triumph of the Community Organizers

Two seemingly unrelated events occurred on election day – Sen. Barack Obama, the self described “community organizer,” became the 44th President of the United States, and three state constitutional amendments (in California, Arizona and Florida), declaring the union of a man and woman the only legal definition of marriage, were approved by the voters.
The former is the fruit of decades-long labor by 60s radicals to infiltrate the educational system – from kindergarten to the University lecture hall – in order to introduce new generations to the glories of counter-culture nihilism. The latter is the desperate attempt by traditionalists to constrain nihilism’s bottom up assault on societal norms – from the top down. If undermining cultural normalcy continues at its current pace, it’s only a matter of time before the law of gravity requires reaffirmation through the ballot process.
An important engineer of our cultural collapse is the National Education Association (NEA), and they were ecstatic over Obama’s electoral trouncing of his Republican opponent.
“NEA mounted an unprecedented effort to mobilize our members and their families, including large numbers of women, rural and suburban voters who helped swing the election,” said the organization on its website.
“We educated young members and voters on the issue of college affordability with the ‘Got Tuition?’ campaign, which bolstered community activism on college campuses. And we reached out to active union households in key states through direct mail, telephone, e-mail and special election websites.”
The NEA and many nihilistic “community organizers” take their marching orders from the author of “Rules for Radicals,” Saul Alinsky. “The first step in community organization,” said Alinsky, “is community disorganization.”
According to the NEA, Alinsky “…feels that there are circumstances where one can and should use means that in other circumstances would be unethical… but Alinsky certainly speaks with the voice of experience,” says a posting on the NEA website. “Alinsky further seems to be encouraging the budding activist not to worry too much about getting his or her hands dirty. It's all a part of the job…”
For decades now, while conservatives focused on competing for the Presidency, congressional and state offices, nihilists focused their attention on transforming America’s educational system into Alinsky-inspired re-education camps. Conservatives may have gotten Ronald Reagan into the White House and controlled both houses of congress for a spell, but transforming America’s culture through education is finally paying dividends. The heroic “community organizer” has vanquished the war veteran who, in the service of his country, was tortured and permanently scarred by his communist tormentors. How can meritorious metals outshine the wondrous glow of promised free cheese and aspirin?
Saul Alinksy said it best in a 1971 magazine interview:
“By the end of this decade…the total population will be over 225,000,000, of whom the overwhelming majority will be middle class. This is the so-called Silent Majority…” bemoaned Alinsky.
He understood that a prosperous America, with its expanding middle class, provided a dwindling underclass for “community organizers” to exploit for the purpose of gaining raw political power.
“… The only hope for genuine minority progress, said Alinsky, “is to seek out allies within the majority and to organize that majority itself as part of a national movement for change [italics added for emphasis]. If we just give up and let the middle classes go…then you might as well call the whole ball game. But they're still up for grabs -- and we're gonna grab 'em.”
President Obama did just that.
